Fed is a 9 year old OTTB gelding that loves children and is looking for a job. Speaking on looks alone this guy is a handsome 10! He came to my farm 2/2019 via a kids camp in the local area that was closing its program. Prior to this children’s camp he was adopted through HART rescue program. I worked with a vet and farrier to get him through poorly maintained feet and an abscess. But mostly he needed a good feed program and TLC.

Easy to catch and always looking for attention Fed has a great personality. He loves to come out of the paddock and get loved on. He is a busybody always checking out your pockets for a treat. Has excellent ground manners with children and adults alike. Great with water and getting bathed. Ground ties or ties for grooming. Fed was a little cinchy when I got him. He has really come around but may require a bit of patience. Fed knows how to move his front and rear end and backs like he is looking to get out of the way! Soft and supple mouth. Accepts a French link snaffle. Bends beautifully to both sides. Roundpen safe. I personally have only walk\trotted but he has beautiful gates. At the camp he was used for trail rides and lessons ages 7-12.

Fed is arthritic and had a knee surgery coming off the track. I have had great success with a joint supplement for him. Keeping him outside or in a large turn in really keeps him mobile. After getting through his abscess he has had no lameness issues. I do also have his vet records from his arthroscopy. Fed just had all his dental work completed, UTD on vaccines, sees the farrier on a regular basis and does not require shoes. All records available.

Fed could go any direction you wanna take him. Would make a good trail horse, rides English and Western. He needs an exercise routine to get in shape and more under saddle hours. I have only mostly rode bareback on him but have saddled him numerous times and he has been ridden (besides a billion pony rides) by our 11 year old volunteer.

Fed loves other animals and is kind to all from chicken to kitten. He is used to ATVs, golf carts and tractors. Always calm and relaxed out on the dirt roads. Well behaved around cars and approaching animals. In the paddock he is head of the pecking order but he is fair. Never a mark on anyone.

I would love to see Fed go to a family that will shower him with attention. Under supervision and proper instruction Fed is great for the experienced beginner. We will continue to work with Fed and he is welcome to stay as long as it takes to find his forever home. Please contact me with any questions or to schedule a visit.
