Whiskey is an all around type of mare. She is a showmanship machine and has won multiple 4H grand and reserve championships and many sweepstakes, along with excelling in both hunt seat and western, as she has won many equitation championships as well. She has some specific buttons when it comes to riding, and does require a rider who is readily willing to show her who is boss and tell her exactly what to do. Given this, we recommend she goes to an intermediate to advanced rider who will really know what they are doing. She really is a sweet girl and will listen readily, however my daughter has been riding for 13 years and has a lot of experience under her belt.

Whiskey has been shown at MSU for the state 4H show multiple times, and has also competed on the schools equestrian team, competing in many different classes including bareback. She rarely spooks, and is used to loud noises due to my younger son who loves to go crazy on his dirt bike and golf cart.

Whiskey is the type of horse that if you don’t ride her for 3 months, she will still be the exact same horse as when you left her. She always tries her hardest to please her rider, and she is truly a sweet girl. She really excels at the trail class at horse shows, and has competed in “extreme trail” at a local horse show, including large hills and trenches.

We would prefer that she goes to a home where she is going to be shown, as my daughter has put a lot of self work into slowing her lope down and shaping her into a successful show horse. She is a great trail horse also, as we have many acres for trail riding at home. She needs to go to a good home, as she has a lot of love to give and deserves to be treated good. She stands for the bath and loads in the trailer like a dream.

Whiskey is truly a good girl, and with my daughter going off to college, there will be nobody to ride her, and we would really like to see her continue to be shown, given the work my daughter has put into her and Whiskey’s talent herself. She MUST go to a good home!
