Zorro is a lovely 9 year old Tennessee Walker. He is a delight to ride and the perfect age to really enjoy. Willing to lead or follow, sets a nice forward flat walk on the trails. He has a smooth gait, and if you choose you can move him up into a nice canter. He is the sweetest horse I have ever owned. We have spent the last two summers trail riding and he loves it. Always willing to move out. He loads, and clips easily, needs some more experience bathing, but basks in any attention you give him. Zorro has great feet, I ride him barefoot or in his Scoot Boots. He is well suited to boots and has never lost one yet.He is generally calm, with minimal spookiness in his reactions. Zorro is ready to find his person that has the time to teach him more advanced skills. On trails he has no trouble going cross country, over logs, through brush, through streams, or working uneven ground. At 15.1 hands he was taller than I wanted and I purchased a shorter horse.
Full disclosure: I had a pending sale for Zorro and he did not pass the neurological portion of the vet check. He was diagnosed with EPM. I have medically treated him for over 3 months with Rebalance an Antiprotozoal medication per veterinary instruction. He has recovered, and seems to have regained the deficient neurologic balance issues he presented with. I have started riding him again, and he is solid, frankly moving better than he ever had since I purchased him. I want him to go to an approved home, so even though I list him at $2500, his price is highly negotiable. I would prefer to set him up with a 30-60 day care lease with a prospective buyer. After completion of this trial I will accept whatever our negotiated price is. I do not know if he would cleanly pass the neurological portion of a pre-purchase exam. But you wouldn't even need to do this exam until after you were sure that Zorro was perfect for you. My veterinarian tells me, he could be completely cured, or he could relapse sometime in the future and need re-treatment. There are no guarantees.
I am looking for his next perfect person to give him the home he deserves. He will only go to an approved home, with someone who would pay attention to his health, and be proactive if it becomes necessary in the future. Call me and we can have a complete discussion all about this delightful guy. Contact Willow Campbell at (425) 422-8628
