Looking for that horse that you can have fun on and look good doing it? Look no further. Jewel is an incredibly sweet, up for anything, 2008, 15.1h half arab mare with a huge body, takes a wide tree/fqhb saddle. By QH stallion Dealin for Jewels (Dealin Dirty by Smart Chic Olena x Genuine Jewels by Genuine Doc) and out of Afire of Gold (Legacy of Gold x SC Firefly by Afire Bey V). Jewel is a maternal half sister to the stallion TR Zee Megafire who is a three time National Champion Reined Cowhorse, and Scottsdale Champion Sporthorse Under saddle, his second time being shown sport horse. Jewel is also a maternal half sister to TR Gone Hollywood who is a US National Reserve Champion H/A Reiner. Jewel has had two years of reining training, tons of miles out on trails in the mountains through water, over wooden bridges, and experiencing a number of animals popping out of thick brush including bears, none of which bothers her. Most recently she’s had a few months tune up in the arena with an eventing trainer who is starting her over fences and in dressage where she is also doing very well, already working on canter loops, and 10m half circles and has a solid change. I could see her being fantastic in dressage (regular or western), sport horse, reiner, cutter, endurance, WP, etc. Very responsive horse who really rides off the seat, one of those you just have to think it types, has energy but isn’t hot/crazy, just wants to work. Rides in a snaffle or curb or even bareback in a halter (even after months off). Currently in front shoes and I’ve never had her lose a shoe, can also go barefoot with front hoof boots for tougher terrain. Utd on everything and has never had any health issues or vices. Shows heat but is very good about keeping it to her own time. Also super easy on the ground, don’t need a halter for clipping and walks beside you leading, no dragging her after you. Sits very well, can leave her in the pasture for a year, haul her across the country, then hop on and go as soon as she arrives. Has had limited showing in Trail Trial events where she has done fairly well. Unfortunately due to various circumstances hasn’t been shown in the arena though has been hauled to shows before I got her and did well. I’ve had her the last eight years and absolutely love her, the only reason I’m selling is I want to focus on 2’6+ open hunters. A great home is a must. Trainer feels she would be good for an advanced beginner on up, I would only say no to a rank beginner because she is very well trained and very light, though she is also the kind of horse that will do her best to save someone if they get into trouble rather then just letting you fall off.
