Beautiful, well built gelding with a gentle disposition and excellent manners. Crawford is a good trail horse who loves to get out and see new country! This willing gelding is careful and thoughtful on technical trails, willing to lead or follow. Crosses water, bridges, ditches, bogs, icy ground, or down trees. Rides well after weeks of lay off. Good neck rein and moves off leg pressure. Super smooth jog in the arena, and even though he knows how to lope circles he does it reluctantly. Excellent whoa and turn over the hocks, also sidepasses well. Crawford had 6 months of professional training to be a heel horse but didn’t have the run his previously owners were looking for. I am his second owner. He was trail ridden and horse camped on his entire life by the family that raised him until one of the children decided to get into team roping and he was sold to buy a finished rope horse.
