This young stallion is endowed with all the promise of greatness. He has a total, uncompromised dressage pedigree. His sire, Zonic, needs no introduction after winning the Dutch Grand Tour championships in 2017 and 2018 and qualifying for the 2020 Olympics. His dam Deliah has placements in medium level dressage and qualified for the Spanish championship. The Dam’s full brother is Delioh who just competed in the European Championships of Dressage. Zico placed 10th at the foal championships in Avenches in the colt dressage category. He was imported in 2021. He is presently in training to be presented as a stallion candidate. He could be kept as a stallion or gelded as a riding horse. Zico has an uncomplicated, clear mind. He is easy to handle on the ground and he can be groomed, bathed, clipped and stands patiently for the farrier. He loads easily on a trailer and travels well. He is presently placed with a professional handler and walks/trots at the handler’s side and free jumps once a week. He has wonderful movement and could certainly go to the top levels of the dressage ring. Zico was presented for Stallion Licensing with the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association in April 2021. His marks, from several very respected Judges, were fantastic. He has been declared the Reserve Champion of Canada at this licensing. He could be kept as a stallion, or gelded, at the wish of the new owner.
