Onyx is a sweet, calm, gentle 10 year old gelding. He is a black/brown Tennessee Walker/Rocky Mountain Horse. He has a super calm demeanor and temperament, but owner is working on getting him more familiar with louder, less expected sounds. He is fine with smaller animals near him, as well as small children. Current owner has had him less than a year but is selling due to self medical issues. Onyx is broke but owner is still working on certain skills such as standing at the mounting block and backing up. Onyx is a super fast learner and has already almost mastered these skills. Onyx is super willing to learn and would be great for a moderate to experienced rider. He is good with having kids on his back if adults are walking him, but would need a more experienced rider for daily riding. Have yet to see him buck, rear, or take off. Owner is working on his neck reining as he was not taught this at his previous home. He has come a long way with it but still needs some work. Super smooth gait. Has been ridden with English and western saddle/rider and does good either way. Owner had custom made gaited saddle that she is willing to sell with him, as well as custom reins, bridle, and breast collar.
