“Archie” is an amateur DREAM HORSE! He’s as kind and unflappable as he is good looking! I’ve owned this guy for 8 months and he’s spooked twice the entire time. He has finally learned his go button but is respectful (he used to be LAZY). He is good on the ground, stands well on cross ties, and for baths. I only have one arm, so he also cones with extra special talents of self-bridling and laying his hooves on my knees for picking. He loads and trailers well, and is great for the vet and farrier.
While Archie is very kind and very straightforward, he is young, tall, and still a little green. He is definitely ammy friendly and would be great for a junior with a trainer. He is still learning to steer. He has 3 lovely gaits, but his canter is by far the best!
He had a full PPE before I bought him and passed his flexions well. The buyer was showed rated H/J, though, and he stood slightly over in his knees at the time, so they passed. My bodyworker has been able to release the tight muscles and he is no longer over in the knee (although, every so often, he will stand that way on his right front, but not consistently).
Archie has had a round of Adequan and has been preventatively treated for ulcers.
Archie’s last race was 9/20/22 so he is fully RRP TB Makeover eligible for 2023. He hasn’t shown yet, but I do believe is over the 15 ride limit for 2024.
