This is Bo. I rescued him from a kill pen 2 years ago. He is vet aged at approx 17. He spent 30 days with a trainer for a tune up in March, ridden 5 days a week and never took a bad step. He wears front shoes and is on previcox as suggested by our vet. He has great feet and I can get copies of recent Xrays if needed. Bo excels with ground work and we have just started some liberty. He is very playful and enjoys being with his person. Easy to catch, stands tied patiently, easy to bathe. Up to date on vaccines, wormer and just got a new set of front shoes. I am positive he was abused prior to ending up in the kill pen and for that reason, he needs a soft patient and kind hand. Being rough with him only causes him to be reactive and will get you nowhere. Ive taken him trail riding twice recently and he is not spooky, but he can be stubborn so he just needs more miles and time. He is definitely a fun project horse for someone who is patient and loving. Bo is an alpha so I recommend his own stall or paddock if possible. I'll be picky where he goes because I do not want him to end up back in a kill pen.
