Can send pics/videos. Light work/riding prospect! Text or email for pics and videos. Ava is an absolutely beautiful, 16.1 or 16.2, BIG smart young mare who is ready for her person. Friesian Percheron. She is ready to learn more than we had been doing (crossties, offers her hooves, standing perfectly to mount and dismount, backing under saddle, listening to cues under saddle) , She has been ridden a little/said to drive, Ava will respond to clear leader, wants direction. She is impish, fun-loving and friendly, but needs someone who can be consistent about her basic manners because she is too large to be in your pocket. She likes to have interaction and stay busy. She needs experiences as she is young, but she is Not naturally skittish or nervous. Responds Very well to natural horsemanship. She is sound, but had not yet been doing a lot, she has one upright hoof- does not seem to hinder her, she canters, trots.... I was just planning to do light trail riding myself. I have had this breed before and loved it, my other mare was quiet and easy going but was older. Was told she has been started driving and they rode her around some bareback and in a halter just a little , and the current foster home has ridden her a number of times. I got her knowing she was a bit of a project, nothing hard or mean-- but sudden changes in my mother's medical condition mean I have no time to put into Ava, and she has been taking a break at a wonderful farm in Clinton, SC and I am looking for a permanant home. If i can find a great situation for Ava, I would also consider a very inexpensive lease or carelease to a knowledgeable, excellent situation. Ava is great with picking up her front hooves but not as good yet with her hinds (Amish seem to not work too hard on that) but she will improve quickly with daily hands on. Extremely smart, willing to yield to a good leader, her current person who is helping me out was working on personal space and some ground work whenever they have a little time. Not quite even in her gait due to her club hoof but its well managed and she is not in pain, canters and trots willingly. Would be an amazing mama as well, so stunning.
