I really do not want to sell this mare but she is pretty much sitting around - I get focused and ride 3-4 times a week for 2-3 weeks and she is soft and amazing and then - I work three jobs, am a single mother and my arena washed out so I have to ride in the green grass so if it rains, I need to wait 2-3 days in order to canter without it being slippery. So I am presently thinking about what is best for this mare. She is very special. She is really pretty, petite, excited to see me when I come to the barn - loves attention. This is a mare who becomes your best friend after just one day of messing with her. Her only issue is that she is sensitive enough that a total beginner or someone who is careless would probably make her tense. But if you are a capable amateur who uses your head - she is a delight because all I have to do is slightly squeeze my hand or leg and she responds. Right now, she is not in shape. Her muscles are pretty much fatty parts! LOL But when I ride her - after a few days - she can lift through her back and stretch down and go long and low - she can carry herself in the canter and then after a week or two, I can ask for lateral work. But she needs someone to physical develop her correctly - I never rush a horse and I wont push a horse to do things they are not fit enough to do. I have left her mane long as is characteristic for the breed. I really love this mare so I am looking for the right home unless something magical happens and I am able to keep her. At this point though - she needs someone who will want her to ride her. She is a perfect mid level petite rider's fun horse to take to shows and clinics and people will eyeball you and maybe be a bit jealous. =) Meanwhile, she is a lot of fun to ride. When she is only just a little bit fit, her canter is yummy.
