Gus is a 12yo, 11hh registered American Shetland gelding with papers. Gus was started in halter originally and had a very successful career before ending up on the back burner for a bit. He has lovely handling manners and knows how to park out. Gus was started back under saddle recently. He is great for leading kids around. He does pony from another horse. He has been sat on and ridden around in the pasture by a small adult but not asked much. He would benefit from a child that can actually ride him without wobbling all over on top of him. He's confused by the lack of balance and wants to park out as a result. He is fine however when someone leads him. He is good for the farrier, shots, and loads in and out of a trailer like a gentleman. He is also fine with dogs and children sharing his space. No buck, rear, bolt or bite. He can be choosy about being caught in the pasture unless you catch his buddy first so pasturing him with an easy to catch horse is recommended. He's not young child appropriate off a lead line at this time but would probably make a small, gifted teen or adult a super cool project and is athletic enough to go any direction! He is located in Climax MI
