Beetle is an 11 year old Morgan/Quarter horse gelding standing 15.3 hands high. This boy is a total ham and a blast to have in the barn. Beetle stands in cross ties to be groomed, feet picked, and bathed. He is great for the farrier, gentle to handle and a love bug to be around. He doesn’t mind children running around, dogs, cats, or the chickens. Beetle is an in-your-pocket guy who will never turn down a change to be loved on. Under saddle, This boy will open and close gates, help you round up loose cattle, pony other horses, pop over small fences, take you down the trail, you name it. Beetle stands for mounting and dismounting. Beetle will lead or follow down the trails and doesn’t mind if another horse is riding closely behind or beside him. He moves through any and all terrain without hesitation. He has no problem crossing streams, mud, bridges, rocks, etc. He uses his feet carefully and always knows where they are at. This boy has three lovely gaits with an easy stop and rides in a simple snaffle. Beetle is not suited for a nervous or beginner rider because he will jig at the beginning of a ride on occasion. Under Harness, Beetle is a dream boat. He is a steady guy but moves out when asked, however, he doesn’t break the trot. He is reliable and dependable out on the road in traffic. He doesn’t bat an eye at big trucks, motorcycles, or other vehicles. Beetle stands to be harnessed and will back into shafts easily for you. This boy drive in teams as well and is equally as nice!
