Heritage is a very pretty grey, 6-year-old Quarter Horse grade mare. She stands at 15 hands and is put together nicely with a solid, stout build. Heritage is a very gentle and easy to ride horse and safe for the whole family. She is very friendly and is used to being around many different animals and loves attention from people. She stands to be groomed and bathed and is great for vet and farrier. Everybody loves her.
Heritage is a very easy to ride horse and will tolerate a mistake from a greener rider. She is a fun ride for any level rider and will take care of you if you are still learning. Heritage is a safe horse and has not shown to be afraid of anything we brought to her such as dogs, cars, atvs, tarps, balls, umbrellas, poles, cattle, … you name it. She is a very kind, honest and trusting horse with a great disposition and is looking to bond with her owner.
Heritage has a lot of potential in the ring. She has an elegant stride for her size, and her gaits are very comfortable to sit to, as comfortable as you can get without riding a gaited horse. She has a natural low and relaxed headset making her suitable for any lower-level discipline western or English. She moves off your leg easily, neck reins, turns on a dime and is willing to go to work. She would also be suitable for a lesson program. We have ridden her bareback, bridleless or in just a halter, western or English tack.
Heritage also loves trail riding and has been used around the ranch to check cattle. You can open and close all your gates without getting off, she knows the drill. She will ride out alone or with others and will go wherever you point her, across fields with cattle, up and down hills, passed machinery, through water and down steep ravines without batting an eye, always moving forward ready to please.
Heritage is overall a very respectful and well-behaved horse. She is willing to do anything she is asked. Her sweet personality will make her bond easily with her new owner and she would make a great addition to any family. Heritage will stand tied all day if you ask her to and she stands to mount from the ground or at the mounting block for you to mount from either side.
