4 year old, 16.1 hand gelding by Frosted out of a Lion Heart mare Ghost came off the track about a year ago and has enjoyed a lot of downtime to grow up a bit and loosen up. He came from a relatively high profile background and trainer who had some pretty high hopes for him but he ultimately just wasn’t cut out for racing. He started work in late July, and the more I work with him the more I love him. He’s a total puppy dog and is ready for a person that will shower him with all the ear scratches. He’s going well at WTC undersaddle and has started work over fences. He’s a big, athletic mover with a lot of shoulder and knee action, but he’s a sensible guy and really has no intention or will of using that against you. He’s not spooky or reactive. I would say he’s more of a forward ride just in that he stays in front of your leg, but he listens and has good brakes. The right kind of sensitive where he’s light and responsive to aids, because he’s a little bit of a people pleaser and really wants to give you the right answer. He’s already proving to be brave brave brave over fences and just takes a nice, natural shape. I think he’s going to jump big and make it feel easy. I’m biased and would love to see him go to an event home, but I really think he could go any direction. He goes to his first show at the end of October for a small 3-phase. Ghost will appreciate a rider with soft hands who will continue to give him confidence. This guy is stunning already but with some more time/fitness/balance holy cow I think he’s gonna be a looker. Uber talented, nice brain, and being a dappled gray doesn’t hurt either! No vices and just an easy easy guy to have around.
