Onyx is a beautiful grulla Paint gelding with the talent, experience, and versatility to go in any direction. He was started in a cutting horse program before advancing into a cow horse program, where he learned his maneuvers, lead changes, stops, and overall handle. He has a solid foundation and is comfortable working both cattle and a rider.
Onyx has been used extensively on the ranch and in the arena, making him a true all-around prospect. He is a solid citizen who is dependable, useful, and ready to go to work. He has also been pen roped on and utilized, giving him valuable experience beyond the show pen and adding to his versatility.
With his cutting background, cow horse training, ranch experience, and arena exposure, Onyx can go in several different directions. He has the ability to continue in the cow horse, ranch riding, ranch versatility, cutting, or roping arenas, while still being practical enough to use outside. His striking grulla Paint color is an added bonus to an already talented and well-rounded gelding.
Onyx is the kind of horse that offers a strong foundation, proven experience, and plenty of potential. Whether you want to work cattle, rope, ranch, show, or simply own a dependable gelding with a lot of ability, Onyx is ready to continue on and become someone’s next go-to partner.
