Rocket “Northern Rocket Man” is a 2009 Appendix AQHA gelding. Stocky 16.2hh. Rocket has shown H/J Circuit, AQHA, OHSET, 4H, and Open shows. He is a successful hunter/jumper who would do well with any level of rider. He is great with tiny beginners, and turns it up when his rider is experienced! No spook/bite/kick/buck/etc. Fabulous on trails, riding in pasture, in the arena, carries a flag, wearing crazy costumes, and pretty much anything else the kids can come up with to do with him. He is just a super solid citizen that anyone can ride. He has been amazing as a lesson horse and makes anyone look good. No maintenance but we kept shoes on his fronts when he was jumping often (currently barefoot and fine). Sound his whole life except a few months that he had some stall rest due to a hard stumble in poor footing. Vet never found anything wrong, just said soft tissue that needed two weeks to heal. That was 3-4 years ago and he has never taken an off step since and was used (after slowly re-entering work) for jumping up to the 1.0s pretty consistently afterward. We wouldn’t even consider selling him, but we have too many horses to keep in regular work and he’s too good to just sit! Currently located at Frozen Creek Performance Horses in Hillsboro Oregon. Delivery possible. Video of him - flatwork, jumping, and him being unflappable: https://youtu.be/oEOedtdaJeE?feature=shared
