Meet Zeus! Registered name: DFD STASH THE GOLD. Get ready to stop in your tracks!! Zeus is a 9 year old, 15.2hh. GORGEOUS palomino AQHA gelding.
Thick and muscular build, stout with good bone, solid feet, and made to last you a lifetime.
Zeus is a kind and sweet boy, he enjoys his neck scratches, getting brushed, and being doted over. He knows he’s a pretty boy, and he pokes his head over the stall door in case you have some spare nose kisses to give away. There isn’t a mean bone in his body.
Zeus is just an absolutely luxury to ride. He’s soft in the face, has a comfortable walk, smooth trot, and a lovely floating lope. He will also collect and carry himself beautifully at any gait. He is super responsive, and should you call on him- he is ready to ride to the moon for you. I’m not sure that we’ve ever had a gelding so eager to please his rider. He is just phenomenal!

He neck reins, spins, has a nice responsive stop and reverse and moves well off of leg pressure. Out on trails, he picks his way along carefully, and even handles rough terrain with ease.
Zeus has lots of experience under his belt and has worn many hats! He has been started as a team roping horse, a super handy go-to ranch horse, easy to use for any job that calls on reliable partner. A steady and sure footed enjoyable leisure trail mount, and I trust him with our 7 year old little boy, who thinks he just scored a 220 in the reining when he cues Zeus for a spin or a stop (I don’t think I’ll tell him any different). From toting excited loud kids to the most timid and shy- at the annual church outreach fall festival, to doctoring calves, Zeus takes his roll seriously and will not disappoint.
I think he would also excel showing in ranch versatility classes, or even dressage.
Zeus has even gotten a taste of a whole different world, he was borrowed for a weekend and taken to the fox hunting/hunter pace! His team actually placed 3rd and he may have secretly enjoyed the flip side of the coin as a posh English pony!
Excellent ground manners. Easy to catch, bathe, good for the farrier, stands patiently. Good stalls manners.
He trailers and hauls well.

Zeus is extremely versatile and one of the most well rounded Jack of all trades that I’ve ever had the pleasure to swing a leg over. He will suit a wide range of people with his varying expertise, and I can say with confidence, should you search high and low, I do not think you will ever find a more willing partner as Zeus wants nothing more than to do his job well and please his rider.
