He is coming 5 years old and is registered with the AQHA. He is a great-grandson of High Brow Cat and is bred for performance and cattle work. He is agile, athletic and intelligent. He has proven to be a great hand around the farm catching and working cattle. He is even more than that, though. He trail rides the very best, works beautifully in the indoor and outdoor arenas, and is even a trick horse! Scooby stands 15.3 hands tall and has a nice thick build. He is put together very well and works like a fine tuned instrument. We have owned Scooby for about a year now and in that time he has been our ranch horse, trail horse, family and friend horse and trick horse! Scooby is laid back, gentle and friendly. He has a sweet disposition and personality! From rounding up cattle, going on trail rides to showing off his tricks- Scooby’s skills and experience are quite extensive and he is truly an amazing versatile horse! Scooby has spent a great amount of time in the indoor and outdoor arenas. He will one-hand neck rein, walk, trot and lope circles both ways taking the correct leads, has a big stop and works off of leg pressure. He is very soft in the mouth. He will ride on as loose of a rein as you like, but he is also a horse that you can collect up in the bridle. His lope is SO super smooth and enjoyable to ride. We’ve ridden him in a halter and even with a rope around his neck many times! On the trail, Scooby is safe and surefooted. He navigates even the roughest terrain with ease and will go anywhere that you ask him to. Whether it is up and down steep hills, through deep water or mud or over trees and through brush- he will get you where you need to be and do it safely. He will ride in the front or the back, alone or with a group! Scooby is also a trick horse! At your cues and commands, he will lay down and sit up like a dog! Scooby will also follow you around like a puppy at the command to “come.” He will also side pass to a mounting block or whatever you choose to mount from! He is a super intelligent horse and could be easily taught even more things than these! He does have some buttons but he is super easy to operate! Scooby is also a big help around the farm! He is usually the first horse to be chosen when there is cow work to do. He was born with cow sense and enjoys the job. He has been used to check fences and cattle very often and is no stranger to a rope and a cr
