Safe, Sound and Sane!
If you want to start with a clean slate,a strong, healthy, well-bred filly, Carina is the way to go! She has been with us her whole life and her dam is on site. She has not had a person on her back although we are getting her used to having a saddle on her. We've recently started lunging her with a saddle and she is not bothered by it at all.
Breeding: "Carina", aka Nebulosa de Carina Powr (Casanova De Dble L x Lucero del mar Pacifico). Kiger mustang/ Andalusian cross. She is double-registered with IALHA (International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association) and KHAR (Kiger Horse Association and Registry). She is micro-chipped and branded.
Carina’s sire, Casanova, is owned by Betty Linnell (@ThreeCreeksRanch, Double L Kigers). Casanova De Dble L is a wild born 15 hand grulla Kiger mustang gathered from the Wild Riddle HMA in Oregon. He is gorgeous and has an excellent temperament. Her dam, Lucero del Mar Pacifico, "Lucy", is a 15.2 hand purebred dapple grey Andalusian with great bloodlines with mostly “Hierro del Bocado” breeding. Lucy is an exceptional trail horse and endurance horse.

DOB: May 3, 2023, Color: she will turn gray although she is currently grulla with primitive markings such as a dorsal stripe and leg bars.
We wanted to cross the Kiger’s level-headedness and sure-footedness with the Andalusian’s height and flair and the beauty of them both. We expect Carina to finish at 15.1 although she may get taller as she is 15 hands at 34 months of age.
Carina is a beautiful filly with an inquisitive disposition. She’s brave, friendly, curious, and energetic. She has been well socialized due to extended daily turnouts with our herd. She is very familiar with dogs and sheep. Carina is handled each day. She ties. She stands for the saddle, baths and to have her feet picked and trimmed. She loves to be groomed. She is halter broke, lunges, and leads well.She is very brave when on walks outside the property. She loads into the trailer. Carina is up to date on all vaccines and de-wormed.
