Juniper goes English and Western, jumps, and trail rides. We are told she jumped around courses and went cross country schooling with the previous owner, but the kids in our program who are small enough to ride a medium pony aren't jumping yet so we've only free jumped her ourselves. She was very confident and cute doing it, so we can definitely believe that she has plenty of experience. Unfortunately she is sick of just teaching beginner lessons all the time, and on top of that can be anxious about her legs being handled which makes US anxious about letting kids who haven't yet learned to recognize when a horse is uncomfortable have some independence while grooming. We think she would be happiest having her own kid or family to build a relationship and trust with, but will consider another lesson program that has kids her size who are more advanced and can give her mental stimulation. We could see this pony in the H/J ring doing the short stirrup or medium pony divisions, going hunter pacing, doing starter trials (maybe BN eventing with some fitness?), trail riding, foxhunting, mounted games, doing western stuff, pretty much anything that gives her some mental stimulation. She's a cool pony, she just isn't happy in the niche we need filled in our lesson program.
