Teddy Bear is a gorgeous, well-built gelding with great size and a very easy-going and playful personality. His disposition reminds us so much of a Golden Retriever. He loves people and aims to please.
As a youngster, Teddy Bear was successfully shown and was a SSH Trail Pleasure Reserve World Champion. But, perhaps most importantly, Teddy Bear is a phenomenal trail horse and just an all-around fun guy to be around. Teddy Bear is 15.2 hands tall and has an impressive, stout build. He has had extensive experience both on the trail and in the arena. We have ridden Teddy Bear all over Utah. He has been ridden out alone and with others, and he has always done well. Teddy Bear has a level-headed approach when it comes to handling obstacles on the trail. He crosses deadfall and water willingly. He has had lots of exposure to all sorts of wildlife, traffic, and farm equipment. He has a nice, smooth gait and has multiple gears to his gait. He is very fun to ride! Teddy Bear has been taught to ride softly and responsively to the bridle. He neck reins, knows leg cues, how to yield his forequarters and hindquarters and how to side pass. Teddy Bear lays down on cue and parks to be mounted, too. He has been ridden both bareback and bridleless. Teddy Bear has great ground manners. He will lunge when asked and has been taught to lead respectfully. He also stands great for the farrier. He appreciates being pampered and loves attention. Despite his size and impressive build, Teddy Bear has always been easy to work with and to get along with. We would consider him to be more whoa than go.
