Honey is a sweet mare who would be a perfect pasture companion. She holds her place well in a heard. She does not bully other horses but also does not allow herself to get picked on. When it comes to grooming, Honey appreciates a gentle touch. She had cysts on her ovaries and that has taught her to be cautious, so she sometimes kicks out if handled too firmly. However, she stands while being groomed and for the farrier. Currently has shoes, but could easily go barefoot. She has navicular so she will always limp, but she can take a hack once in a while. She does not spook at all on trails or in the arenas. She was a part of our school program for many years, but it is time for her to fully retire. Would love to see Honey go to a home where an extra companion horse is needed in the pasture.
