Tango 93 is a 15 hand 3 year old QH/TB cross brown gelding. We rescued Tango from slaughter over a year ago by outbidding the kill buyer at an auction we were at. Tango was in very rough shape at the time and was so small we thought he was a year younger than he was. Tango is a young horse and could have easily acted like one at any point in his life, but he has made sure every single day that we know how grateful he is that we saved him, and has been the easiest, most pleasant horse to bring along. Nothing fazes him; you can ride him in the arena or in the jump field, ride him multiple days per week or give him a couple of weeks off, ask him to try something new, or just have a pleasant ride doing what he knows and he will be a good boy regardless. He has never once offered to do anything dangerous. He knows walk, trot, canter and his leads. When we ride him, we ride him lightly and never more than a few days per week. He has a super soft mouth and a naturally very balanced canter. He’s a sweetheart and whip smart; you teach him something once and he has it down. He’s grown six inches since we got him and we believe he is still growing. We suspect he will end up about 15.2 hands. He would be an ideal horse for someone wanting to learn the ropes of bringing a young horse along, and would make a nice all-rounder, Pony Club, and 4H type of horse. He is current on all care and presently in work.
