Standing 16.1+ Aslan was born in 2016 as a beautiful bay roan Belgian Sporthorse. He has a wide variety of experiences so not overworked at his young age in only one discipline: packing, trail riding, Working Equitation, Eventing & more. This big guy is stout but not drafty, he wears a regular wide tree, takes up leg nicely. He's very handsome & sporty looking! No buck, no rear, no vices, stalls or pastures with a herd, barefoot, affectionate, seeks a partnership. He's not the deadhead quiet you think of in a draft horse. He's got his own engine so a dream to ride. He has handy buttons and has seen a lot of miles. He comes from the mountains where he was used to pack elk & people up & down. He crosses creeks, over logs, through mud & has seen more variety than the average horse. This is a huge advantage for the water complex in Eventing or trail riding! He has a beautiful back up, does a gate, sidepasses & knows both leads. If you desire to develop a true partnership, he will lope & canter circles in the arena with or without a bridle & bareback Aslan is affectionate, loves "his" human, has a very willing attitude & built to last all day. He has never been lame, barefoot or shoes, he does not need stocks with my farrier. He's on no maintenance just free choice dryland pasture or hay, no grain. Aslan is responsive not reactive when riding, he is NOT a kick to go, pull to stop kind of ride. He competed an "entry" level Horse Trials with a 70yo amateur and finished in First Place! Aslan also competed in his first Working Equitation at Level 1, entered in to a clinic/show. Weather cancelled the clinic so Aslan & his rider competed the next day without any training! The same Aslan did his first CT and won the baby green! He did not shy or find anything scary in all that. He has been confident & brave over beginner jumps & he loves the water. All of his jumping education has been completely natural & stress free using Linda Parelli techniques. He's ready to be finished your way. If you're looking for a fun new partner, he's your guy! $28,000 before he goes into more training. Call or text 701-770-6605 but send a PM for photos to: CdaleandPhil Jore
