Offered for your consideration - Punchy is not just a horse- he is a piece of American heritage. 2019 branded and titled American Mustang gelding - 14.1h Punchy Lil Heartbreaker is from the Diamond Herd Management Area, known for their great minds and athletic ability. In January of 2022, he was selected by professional horseman and clinician Cliff Schadt to be his partner in the 2022 Extreme Mustang Makeover in Ocala, Fl. After just 100 days out of the wild, the pair competed at the event and placed in the top ten at the finals. Punchy was purchased at the event by a then 13 year old girl, who would go on to do great things with him. She, solely on her own, has continued his training and even began Punchy’s show career! Punchy has his ARHA Certificate of Eligibility. He has competed at ARHA & open ranch shows in the novice youth, youth, and green divisions for the past two seasons. His beautiful extended trot always catches the judge’s attention. Punchy has worked cattle, and does very well in the boxing. He has been roped off of as well. He excels at ranch trail and has won trail obstacle challenges too. Punchy loves playing with toys & balls and has an in your pocket personality. Loves attention. He works gates (rope or pipe), will carry a flag, does tarps, drags logs, ground ties, etc. Punchy and his teenager also spent a summer guiding trail rides at a guest stable. They have logged hundreds of miles on the trail over the past 2 years and there is nothing that fazes him. He will cross water, is traffic safe and fearless. There really isn’t anything that these 2 haven’t done! Punchy is ready to start his next chapter with a new person, only because his owner wishes to move forward with AQHA showing. If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a once wild mustang, now is your chance to have a piece of the real American west. Punchy is extremely sound, healthy, UTD on everything and then some. While Punchy is as spook-proof as I have ever seen and very well behaved, he is still a young horse with lots of buttons and should have a rider with some knowledge and skill. His neck rein is coming along beautifully. He is smart, athletic and loves a job. Punchy has impeccable ground manners and is extremely safe to work around. Well behaved for the farrier and vet. He has big solid feet and has never required shoes, even with road/trail riding. Very easy keeper. He loves to compete and settles in beautifully at different showgrounds. He has also been ridden English and popped over small fences. He is willing, but really excels in the ranch riding. He has zero vices in the stall or turn out. Lots of personality and is a barn favorite.
