Ginger Snap 15.3hh 6 years old Appendix but registered Westfalen. Red Dun Ginger is one of the sweetest horse I’ve had around. She has mainly been in dressage training. She is getting more steady in the contact and schooling 1st level movements (leg yields, haunches and shoulder in) She has a big floaty trot and a really nice working canter. She also loves the trails. I’ve ridden her off property alone and with groups. If ridden alone off property she needs a confident partner. She isn’t bad by any means, she just needs that confidence from her rider because she’s still young. But safe. She has also been around traffic with no problems as well. I’ve had beginners on her walking and trotting around in the arena and ride her down the trail as well. I’ve ridden her in jump tack, dressage and western. Goes nice in a snaffle or bitless. Very soft and light in the bridle and very responsive to your seat. I’ve worn silly costumes on her with no issues and with the correct amount of desensitizing she was able to pull a sled behind her this winter with a rider after 30 min of seeing it. She’s a smart girl who is always trying to do the right thing. In your pocket type. I haven’t been able to ride much this winter but she’s the same horse whenever you pull her out. I’ve popped her over some jumps and she was willing, but I wouldn’t say that should be her main line of work. She prefers to be out but does fine in a stall as well if there are horses around her. She’s been hauled and ridden to a bunch of clinics and lessons and has been to 3 shows and was wonderful. She would love to have a partner to go do stuff with. Working equitation, cowboy dressage, dressage, trail riding, trail competitions and even DOWN THE ROAD NOT NOW she could probably make someone a really nice kids horse for 4h or equivalent or husband horse. Not yet. She’s young. I haven’t had her around cows, but she probably would be cowy. I wouldn’t recommend it be her main focus of work either. She can jump here and there but it shouldn’t be her main focus of work either. She liked it though! She was pretty gung-ho about it. As well as gaming/Playday type stuff. VERY VERY MINIOR conformational flaw (was not born that way) with a handful of vets clearing her for work just not heavy jumping/gaming/ cutting etc if you want her to stay sound in the future. I was going to work to get my bronze medal at minimum on her. So she can have a job! She can be in full training if condition into it. Not just thrown into it after sitting for 4 months. She should be sound and healthy and rideable into her 20’s with ease. It’s not life or career ending. She lunges, bathes, cross ties, trailers I recommend front shoes on for super gravely/ rocky rides. She has great feet. I’ve had her barefoot for most of the time I’ve had her and I think she moves better that way honestly. She’s more fluid in her movements.
