Amazing Icelandic mare Àsta, 13.3 hands, turning 7y with a natural tölt (5 gated) and smooth transitions, nicely forward on light clues.
Got her under saddle 2 years ago, you can finish her off anyway you like; she’s very all-round.
She’s 💯 % sound with strong sturdy hoofs, barefoot.
Perfect with farrier, dentist, vet (not fond of injections but she’s UTD), easy with trailering, bathing, fly-spraying, ground work, great with riding on trails, obstacles, liberty work, she also rode in the Aiken Christmas parade (with 286 horses) and was super relaxed and calm. Helped other horses settle even.
I rode her many times alone on the trails and she can go up front with a group, in between or in the back.
Original from Cornell University in New York, parents from Iceland. I’ve not seen sweet itch.
She’s a one-person type horse and will give you everything (!) after you bond.
Loves attention and every day work and is super sweet.
Very work willing and can go anywhere (easy to trailer).
As she’s young I recommend an experienced rider.
In your pocket kind of horse.
Sadly I can’t give her all the time, attention and work she deserves and I hope to find that special person just for her.
