Lil is a darling 9y/o bay mustang mare looking for a trail home. Rescued from the k pens in 2015 as a yearling. She is willing and loves to go out and adventure. Good going out alone or with others and isn’t bothered by horses getting close. No issues being in the front or back of the group. She is sweet, strong minded, and very willing as mustangs tend to be. High endurance and is a great little mountain goat. Rock solid feet, never had shoes. Doesn’t spook easily and gets over things fast. Not barn sour. Great bareback. Prefers a bosal/bitless, hasn’t had too much time in a snaffle but goes nicely in it. Keeps weight well. Nice dense winter coat so no need for blanketing, cold doesn’t bother her. Gorgeous slick summer coat. Could be great to use her to pack. Totally chill with ropes I’ve swung them all around on her. Learns quickly and is smart. Very well built. Solid legs, never been lame. Trailers nicely, ties, stands for farrier, does gates, hobbles, crosses water/mud, no spurs necessary, picks up correct leads, stops off woah, moves off leg, more woah than go but goes when asked. Great with Dogs , next to roads , all hours day night, never offered to kick other horses on the trail , turns forehand and haunches, side passes , not cinchy, loves attention, easy catch, mount left and right side, saddle from both sides, ties to trailer, been loaded in straight load with ramp and stock trailer I’ve pushed cattle on her and she seemed to like it. She’s great at the beach. Only time she ever offered to crow hop was when I tried to grab something off the ground and my saddle was loose and slipped off onto her side - so that was no fault of her own. Fixed it and continued on our ride with no further issues or worry. Ideal for a smaller rider - I’m 5’6 for reference in the photos. Her previous owners kids would ride her but I have not tried any on her. Very sorry to see this sweet girl go but I just don’t have the time to give her that she deserves. She is a wonderful little horse. Send me a message to come check Lil out!
