Here’s the horse of a lifetime! Fittingly named King, his regal appearance turns heads everywhere and his kindhearted personality makes everyone love him. He quickly became a family favorite from the moment he stepped off the trailer. Extremely versatile, King goes English, Western, bareback and drives. He’s had a wide range of life experiences and excelled at them all. He’s seen the lights of the big city pulling a carriage at night in downtown Dallas and is equally at home out on a ranch gathering cattle. Kid and grandparent approved, King can take a joke. He’s fine with teenage boys standing up doing rope tricks, driving four wheelers like maniacs and carefully steps around the herd of puppies that are always underfoot. His kind willing temperament makes him a good sport about mastering any task. Well broke, King rides soft in the bridle and willingly moves off your leg. He’s just so much fun to ride that he makes everyone grin. King has the smoothest ground covering walk imaginable and his trot is extremely easy to sit. You feel like you’re simply gliding over the ground. He lopes easy circles both ways and can drag his booty like a Quarter Horse if you whisper whoa. Out on the trails, King is surefooted and careful going up and down rougher terrain. He’s brave and goes where he’s pointed. In a group, he doesn’t mind being at the front or the tail. If you’d rather drive than ride, King knows all the voice commands. One of our friends owned King from the time he was a yearling, King was raised by one of his family members. His dam was a Spotted Draft that they’ve raised several babies out of and his sire a Percheron. King was thoughtfully bred for a kind temperament, conformation, and longevity. Born right around the time Hawaiians celebrate King Kamehameha Day in June, he was aptly named King. We fell in love with King, so we jumped at the opportunity to have him in our program. Standing a user friendly 15.3, King stands like a rock for anyone to climb aboard. His ground manners are absolutely impeccable, he’s a perfect gentleman about his feet, he enjoys a bath and loves being groomed. King hauls quietly and loads willingly. An easy keeper, King has no special requirements. He doesn’t mind being kept in a stall or turned out with other horses. We’ve loved the opportunity to have King in our barn and would welcome the opportunity to chat about him anytime! Call Estevan at (505)450-5519 to set up a time to come meet this big sweetheart.
