Smirk (JC: Funnee) is a 16hh 4 yr old liver chestnut thoroughbred mare. I bought her as a two year old in September of 2022 with just 3 lackluster starts.
She is a sweet and smart mare who is eager to please. She has solid flatwork, has been lightly cross country schooled and lightly foxhunted (10x 2nd/3rd flight with the GVH hunt). She is good about gates, never cares about the hounds and easily handles the variable terrain.
She is quiet, a lovely mover and super sweet. She is forward, but not hot. She is a tall, but narrow horse and will be a nice ladies mount. She is a big moving with a decent stride. She has taken a few dressage lessons with Susan Gilson and she really excels at that. She is on 24/7 turnout, wears front shoes and has no vices. Goes in a plain snaffle (and hunts in a plain snaffle).
She competed at a "tadpole" event last year just to give her some exposure and she was very good. I'm planning to take her out eventing at the starter level this year.
