Second Chance is very agile. He moves nicely. Is very sensitive to aides. I have had him here for 6 years. My aister purchased him. We don't know his history. He goes around barrels in my outdoor arena. I also have slalom course in the pasture he enjoys. He definitely likes moving out. He is definitely a one person horse. You need to win his trust. I think he knows alot, but I do not know how to get him to do more than walk, trot, canter, barrels, trail ride. He has energy, and lots of muscle. He like to trot and move out, and has endurance. He goes through streams and over logs. He is traffic safe, likes to have a job nit stand in padfock every day. Good for Farrier, dentist, vet, grooming, tacking up. His faults: Must be ridden hard atleast 3 x per week or it shows in his barn manners. Mostly pushing against paddock gate, and being pushy on the ground. FOOD CRAZY;Putting ears back at other horses with food. He is very food pushy. It iS like he thinks its his last meal. Have not been able to break him of this. He respects you, if you have his trust. He will test a little. He Is NOW barn Sour with our mare. Have not had hIm on a trailer for a long time. He prefers a stock trailer to the little 2 -horse I have. AGAIN, HE IS BARN SOUR AND WANTS THE MARE IN THE TRAILER WITH HIM. MAKES A RUCCAS. ON THE TRAIL, HE HAS LEARNED TO LEAD OUT. HE DOES WELL, BUT DID SPOOK AT TURKEYS FLYING ACROSS THE TRAIL AND PARTRIDGE. DEER ARE OK. SMALL COWS WITH BELLS FREEKED HIM OUT AS THEY WERE RUNNING AT HIM. I RECENTLY TROTTED HiM 45 MINUTES AROUND OUR LOOP OF DIRT ROAD AND HE WAS REady to go.HIS HISTORY: I think he has done dressage in the past. He sometimes does the floating trot. It is Beautiful. He is a nice ride but you need to be confident and alpha rider. I think he is capable of much. I do not have the skills to draw it out of him. He respects the fences. Good ground manners overall. Can be pushy. SO, FREE Lunge him and that CORRECTS HIS BEHAVIOR. HE know who is boss. HE WILL COME IN TO YOU IN THE ROUND PEN.
