Rubi, as he is affectionally called, is a 2011 17.2 chestnut Hanoverian gelding. Quickly a barn favorite, Rubi has a kind and sensible personality. Rubi has three quality gaits that are comfortable and easy to sit. He is schooling third level and is experienced at horse shows, having shown on the east and west coasts in the US. Rubi has shown through second level with scores consistently in the 70's. He has a beautiful presence in the show ring and will get the rider noticed with his brilliant chestnut coat and chrome markings! He is the same at home and at shows/clinics, with no lunging required. Light to the aids and most often ridden in a snaffle, Rubi goes well in both a double and a snaffle bridle. Rubi is ideal for a junior/young rider or AA looking for a horse who truly wants to connect with the rider; this is a horse that makes the rider feel safe and secure. He is a straightforward, uncomplicated ride and always tries his best. Rubi has a wonderful work ethic, is quick to learn new things, and takes instruction well. Rubi is good around other horses and has no vices, no complicated shoeing and is barefoot behind, perfect for the farrier and vet, trailers well alone and with others, well behaved off property, and is mannerly in turn out.
