Dantonia is an excellent dressage/hunter prospect. She is early in her training and would do best with an experienced rider or one who works closely with a trainer. She is sensitive and responsive to aids, and learns quickly. With natural balance and three good gaits, she is expected to do well as she moves up the levels. Though her trot is lofty, it is easy to sit. She trailers well and is very sweet in the barn. Her pedigree for use as a broodmare is desirable - her grandsires are Don Schufro and Wildcard. We are taking time with her training to lay a solid foundation, and are scheduled to attend schooling shows and a mare inspection this summer. Her price is expected to increase with experience/training. It has been said by one of her previous trainers, that Dantonia is going to be one lucky rider's "heart horse". Update: Dantonia's first dressage schooling show is this Sunday at Poway Valley Rider's Assoc., April 28th. She will be in the Intro C class - ride time is 9 AM. Come see her go for the first time! Video to follow. (Her next show will be on May 18th at Far View Farms in San Marcos.)
