Handsome Perlino stallion for sale. He has only pasture bred mares and is extremely good at his job. He treats the mares good, gets them bred and enjoys having the company.
We purchased Pokey when our Senior stud died and because our Junior stud is in training. Pokey bred all of the mares we are keeping and now can find his next band of broodmares. May sell him in a package deal with the two mares we are selling, one of which he is breeding right now.
The two foals we have on the ground by him so far are huge and exceptionally well put together. Pokey himself is very well put together, conformationally correct, heavy boned legs, big strong feet, he is on the shorter side and very compact.
He is easy to handle, ties, trailers, bathes, good for the farrier, he has a very good attitude and appreciates being loved on. He was never started under saddle but would be a fun project for someone that would like to ride him.
He is Homozygous Cream and Agouti so he will only produce Buckskins and Palominos no matter what color mare you breed him to. He is negative for the 5 panel and IMM. He has been bred to APHA mares so is on file with APHA already. Email for photos of Pokey and his offspring.
