14hh Grade Quarter Horse Paint Mare, 13 yo. This sweet, little mare has done her best to fit into our active lesson program. She has been a doll with our therapy riders, carried young riders with a leader, used in higher level lessons, and has done well overall. But because our goal is both happy people AND happy horses, we believe she'll be at her very best with her own person, especially since she so enjoys connection. Not spooky, does great on trails and can carry a confident beginner- will go through/over just about anything. Also desensitized to pool noodles, balls, bells, games, etc. She would love the life of a trail horse! Will ride alone on the trails with a confident riders, but prefers a buddy. In the arena, she goes walk/trot/canter. Picks up both leads, moves off the leg, and has the beginning of simple lead changes. The former owner popped her over a couple jumps and she seemed to enjoy it, but we have not tried. I could also see her enjoying gymkhana. Needs a confident intermediate rider or above to finish her training in the arena. With the right person, she could make a great 4-H project. Nice ground manners, loves to be groomed and loved on. Easy keeper, middle of the pecking order. Great feet, stands for farrier. Ruby is so friendly and so eager to have “her” person. Please message for more video and pictures!
