Ernie is a roughly 15yr paint gelding who is close to 15 hands but I haven’t measured. He has arthritis in his left knee which I have x-rays of that were taken June of last year. I had him posted for sale last year after we decided he was getting too uncomfortable getting ridden often. However we then decided to try him out for more of our little lead line kids. He does great for lead line kids however he can trip a little on uneven ground. Off the lead line he can get a little anxious with the kids if you aren’t close by. He doesn’t do anything bad but you can tell he’s a little nervous. He will stand for hours in cross ties or tied to a post to get loved on not moving a muscle. We only use him maybe 3 times a month and so I would like to find a family who is just wanting a horse for their kids to love on him and can do so more than we can and maybe take on occasional walks around the yard. On days where his knee is bothering him we give him 1 bute pill and he’s just fine but he rarely needs it. You can try injections on him, unknown as to how well he will respond to them. Is not due for shots or coggins until June, had feet trimmed beginning of March
