Meet Kit On a Wager. He is a 22 year old 15hh (not sticked) registered American Quarter Horse. With bloodlines dating back to Doc Bar. Kit has beautiful markings and a very funny personality he always makes us laugh. Over the summer I gave beginner lessons on him he was very good. He is great on trails and has beautiful confirmation. I would love for him to go to a home where he will be used consistently as well as loved. He has sat all winter. I will be working with him these next few weeks to get him back into work mode. I went on his first ride since winter today he is amazing I was surprised the old guy remembered so much, but also had times of energy and was excited to work. I am possibly even getting a professional out to work with him if he has lots of interest. Reason for relocating is my old jumper is now retired and I want to continue showing, Kit doesn’t get much use around here and needs a home where he does. He is completely sound, lifts his feet, great for farrier and even does some fun tricks. He is great at backing up, he is very responsive to pressure in his mouth and from your leg. In his past home he was at a big boarding facility. Working around cows but, I don’t think with them. He doesn’t like being alone in a pen or stall. He thrives being in a herd, yet also is fine to go out on trail rides alone no problem. Not herd bound. He isn’t the boss and also doesn’t get bossed around. He has only been rode by kids since owning him but, these kids are fairly good young riders. Over the summer he was rode by complete beginner riders, he did great! His biggest concern has to be his trailer loading ability. I also do not have a trailer so there has been no training in that area. he is definitely more go then woah, he reminds me more of a 4 year old. He would be perfect for 4-h.
