Shiner is a 2011 model, 15h, grade palomino gelding. I purchased him as a beginner safe trail gelding but after a tune up had found that he’s anxious and hot to trot on the trail. He needs a more confident hand out and about then what I am myself. However, the trainer stated that he does much better in an arena setting, has buttons of legs cues, can collect up and move around very nicely, canters off nicely, stops on woah, would be better suited for an intermediate to advanced rider looking to do ranch versatility, gaming, barrels, maybe sorting or team penning. He definitely loves to have a job more than a leisure trail ride. He’s a sweet boy, easy to get along with on the ground if his owner knows how to establish boundaries.
