“Motley” is a 4-year-old AQHA/APHA gelding by Heart Stoppin standing 16 hands with the kind of mind everyone is looking for – calm, willing, athletic and easy to ride.
He has been lightly shown in ranch classes and recently won Ranch Rail while also placing in Ranch Trail and Horsemanship at an ARHA competition. He’s started on cattle and really enjoys having a job, but he’s just as happy going down the trail quietly and confidently.
Motley is the same polite and attentive horse every ride. He stands for the farrier and vet, trailers easily, bathes, ties and is easy to have around. He has a smooth way of moving, a stout build and enough versatility to continue toward ranch classes, trail competition, cattle work or simply become someone’s dependable all-around partner.
This is the kind of gelding that can go to a local show one weekend and trail ride the next and is suitable for an amateur rider with trainer guidance.
