Southern Ritz aka “Ritz” was born 4/8/24. Premium Branded Westfalen. She is by Ribaldi (Rosenthal/Totilas), out of Southern Bunny (USEF: 5416755) who is by the Grand Prix holsteiner stallion, Southern Pride, out of a TB mare (who was a successful AO hunter). This fancy filly is everything we hoped for… exceptional conformation, fabulous movement, a natural presence that draws you in, and a brain that you just can’t beat. She is refined and elegant, while still having good bone and substance. She is extremely sweet, intelligent, and just wants to crawl into your pocket. Raising her has been an absolute pleasure!!
She is halter broke, leads, loads easily on a trailer, ties, cross ties, and pony’s off a golf cart. Ritz takes everything in stride and is very happy to learn. She has a great brain on her and while she is pro quality, she would be amateur friendly to bring along. We expect her to mature to 16.1h.
We can see Ritz succeeding in countless different disciplines. Her sire’s offspring has taken the Hunter Breeding world by storm with great success and we have no doubt this stunner would do so as well. Her mama jumped up to 1.25m in the ribbons at WEF. Ritz could easily succeed in the hunter or jumper ring…. But she could just as easily go out and be someone’s superstar event horse!! She has the beautiful flat kneed trot and a rhythmic, metronome canter that is to die for!! She would take the hunter ring by storm. We have now sent her down the jump chute and were impressed by her very correct, tidy form! This filly will make dreams come true and we cannot wait to watch her grow up and shine!! Ritz is unfortunately a mild cribber but is controlled with a collar. Ritz is branded, passported Westfalen, microchipped, and has lifetime USEF registration.

Ritz is available to the best of homes, ideally a show home that will develop her to the fullest of her potential.
