What he is:
Pretty, compact, and well bred. Capable and reliable Ranch/Trail horse. All day trot. Does gates, water and all manner of actual and simulated (show) trail obstacles. Comfortable in an arena, on the trail, and around other horses and cattle. He does well with a calm and commanding rider. Easy keeper. Trailers well. Good feet, never lame or sick in the 13 years we have had him. Gets along well with other horses in the pasture. Not an alpha. Despite his age, he is energetic and athletic.

If you want a solid ranch/trail horse, Chex stands out. We are getting out of horses altogether. Otherwise, we would never sell him. We keep him pastured by day and in a run with shelter at night. We like him and will sell him to a suitable home only. Thanks for looking.
