“Rico” is an absolutely STUNNING dappled palomino gelding with a beautiful long flowing mane, tail, and forelock! Rico is fully trained in the reining, been shown in the ranch classes, given riding lessons, trail ridden, and is a true babysitter with our young boys. This gelding is like family around here, we 100% trust him for anyone to hop on and have an enjoyable ride. He is safe, will ride to the level of rider on his back, and is very easy to maneuver.

Rico and I’s first show together was very successful just last month. We entered open reining, open ranch riding (pattern), working western rail (walk trot), open working western rail, and ranch horse conformation! Rico took home 1st place in all five classes with 20+ entries in some of the classes! He truly acted like an old seasoned pro, he was the only horse I took to the show. He hauled and stood at the trailer by himself, never made a peep looking for a buddy, and was super easy to show in all the classes.

Rico is an easy horse to have around, stays trained with time off, always saddles up gentle, and there are no surprises with this horse. He loves attention, great to bathe, braid, clip, and stands exceptional for the farrier. Great with all desensitizing objects, crosses our trail obstacle course with ease, drag a log, carry a flag, I think you could do about anything there is to do on horseback on Rico. Queen, parade, ranch show horse deluxe, he will 100% get you noticed with his stunning appearance and exceptional training. He stands a smidge under 15.1 hands tall.

Rico is sired by CFR Centenario Wimpy who has LTE $180,741 and NRHA $168,000+. He has a unique cross of reining and pleasure in his pedigree which I believe is what makes him such a great mover. Rico is smooth in all gaits, and has one of the best extended jogs I’ve ridden.
