Rio's dam, is a direct daughter of Kuchi. She is not only a multiple Grand Champion in breed shows and a High Level Open Dressage Champion, Kuchi was the first Gypsy Vanner born on American soil.

Rio is almost the spitting image of his uncle WR COOL HAND LUKE, a numerous Supreme Grand Champion and Multiple Time Horse of the Year! With that kind of lineage, Rio is marked for greatness.He already has the beauty and presence befitting royalty. He exudes elegance, yet carries a lot of muscle. Rio has an extraordinary hip that finishes his well balanced conformation. His movement is simply effortless; a trait for which his grandmother Kuchi was Nationally well-known. At just barely a year old, Rio clips, loads, ties, grooms, stands for the farrier and all the things you would expect from a well handled youngster. Additionally, he works quietly on the walker and the obstacle course.
