Rio has had a great start in the pleasure events, recently winning his first buckle, 3rd overall in W/J Pleasure 5 & Under at Spring GnG. Has natural lead change and looks cute in the HUS classes as well. Started on showmanship, side pass, pivots and lead changes.
He would not be suited for a beginner youth but any horseman with young horse experience would do great. My daughter started him and has shown him as an amateur for me. She has a new foal that she wants to focus on, and we need the stall, so I am listing for sale to the right home only. I have had him since he was 10 months old, so I have his best interest at heart.
He clips, trailers, ties, etc. He would likely love trail rides, but he has not gone out on any besides the 20 acres at home. He is currently not on any maintenance besides front shoes. A recent pre purchase exam did find some minor arthritic changes that could benefit from some maintenance if continuing to be used as a show horse, I am happy to discuss the new findings. Reducing price to allow for any maintenance that a new owner may want to provide.
