This sharp colt is sired by KT OneShadie Captain (“Cappy”) and backed by generations of proven performance horses. Cappy is out of A Little Shadie Chic (“Shadie”) and by Captains Double Coy (“Double”). Shadie had a successful reining career in NRHA competition, highlighted by her 2006 Reserve Regional Experience Championship in Region One, along with multiple AQHA points. She later carried young riders in the show pen before becoming a broodmare. Shadie is a daughter of Comandalena, earner of over $143,000 and 260.5 AQHA points. On the bottom side, she is a granddaughter of A Little Shady Jac, with NRHA earnings of $17,715.86 and AQHA points. Her pedigree also features industry greats like Doc Tom Tucker, Hollywood Jac 86, Fritz Command, and Smart Little Lena — elite names in reining and cutting history. Cappy’s sire, Captains Double Coy (“Double”), was an outstanding stallion known for stamping his foals with cow sense, trainability, and easy dispositions. Professionally trained and later used on the ranch, Double showed natural cow ability but rode with the steady feel of a gelding. We still use several of his daughters on the ranch, and Kade ropes off two of them — they are easy to break, willing, and serious cattle horses. On the dam side, this colt is out of KT Easter Bunny (“Peanut”), a delightful dunalino mare by KT Heza Pana Dude. Peanut is sweet-natured and well-loved, with just enough sass to keep things interesting. “Dude” is by Zinks Major Kid and out of Panas May Day, carrying strong lines that include Pana Dude, Major Bonanza, Skipper W, Skipster, and more. This colt’s pedigree blends reining excellence, cowhorse grit, ranch practicality, and foundation strength. He’s bred to be athletic, trainable, and versatile — whether that’s in the show pen, the roping box, or out gathering cattle. Performance on paper. Ability in the pasture. A future partner ready to go any direction.
