Indie is looking for his forever home! He is the sweetest most freindly and layed back horse you will meet, plus he is gorgeous. He has taken such good care of me, my freinds, family and kids so I am searching for the PERFECT fit for HIM. I do not want to see him back on the market or passed around. I am his second owner and have had him for over 7 years. He has been an amazing trail horse and super fun to play with in and out of the arena. He is the kind of horse who is happy to lope around the arena or go out on an 18 mile technical trail ride. He has been consistently ridden all the time i have had him but by alot of different peolpe, however does a great job transitioning with a new mount. He has been an awesome " extra horse".
Pros : good feet, easy keeper on decent hay in winter and pasture only during summer time, jumps in trailer, never had him offer to buck rear or kick, NOT spooky with sounds or much of anything ( he will chew up a plastic bag if you let him ), very mellow but not a dead head, great to pony or pony off of, has been highlined, tied to trailer overnight, hobbled, gets along great with other horses, very willing and BIG personality, smooth gaits with easy transitions, has always been sound for me besides seasonal abscess, great in trail boots but would do best in shoes with wedges according to vet, easy to catch, great for farrier, great in heavy traffic, has been in parades, gets along great and loves other horses, no kick on trail, sure footed especially down hills, good ground manners although wants to be in your pocket all the time. He has been vet checked and had x rays taken as of June 6th, 2025.
Cons: he likes to crib, however teeth are still in good shape but would be due to be floated again.
Im looking for a " buyer" who will love and appreciate him as much as I do! He lives with me on 18 acres with a shelter and other horses. I will be picky where he goes and ideally looking for someone who has a similar set up and not board him. Asking 13xxxx . Please no tire kickers my time these days is very limited. Im happy to provide character references for myself and for him and will probably ask for the same from buyer. First right of refusal is a must when sold!
