Meet Azrael, a stunning 7-year-old buckskin pinto South Steens Mustang gelding with striking blue eyes, standing at 14.3hh.

Azrael is a sensitive, well-rounded gelding with an "in-your-pocket" personality that makes him a barn favorite.

He has three smooth, easy gaits and is responsive to aids. He has over a year of professional training and has been ridden Western, English, and bareback. His lofty trot, uphill canter, and sensitive nature make him an excellent candidate for Western Dressage.

Azrael tackles obstacles with enthusiasm—tarps, bridges, logs, you name it. He has been started on trails, capable of leading or following, and is easy to pony. Has zero gate issues inside the arena at home or away from home.

In the arena, he has been introduced to cattle, roped the dummy, and confidently works the cow trac system.

Trailers, ties, bathes, and stands for the farrier like a pro.

Easy keeper, currently fed premium alfalfa, orchard grass, and local grass hay.

Integrates well into a herd—playful but independent, never herd-bound.

Always barefoot but should have no issue with shoes.

Consistently sound; PPEs welcome at buyer’s expense.

Azrael had a serious bolting incident during a cattle branding, so he requires a confident, experienced rider. While we can’t predict if this was a one-time event, his price has been adjusted to reflect this experience and is negotiable for the right home.
