Abra is a lovely mare with nice, uphill gaits, and a kind personality. She has been a lesson horse and would continue to be a great lesson horse. Reason for sale is that I no longer have an onsite lesson program. On the lunge line she is word perfect. Walk Trot Canter Woah with your voice while your rider is focusing on finding their balance and rhythm. Under saddle, she is uncomplicated. She has energy and impulsion, but is very obedient and strives to please. You can ride her bitless, or in a simple snaffle. In the arena or out on the trails. She rides out by herself, or in a group. She had a career as a jumper, and can still do low level jumps without concern. She would also make a lovely horse for someone looking for a safe pleasure riding horse. Easy for the vet, farrier... ties, loads, leads well, loves attention and grooming, easy to catch. Her limitations: She gets anxious in a show environment. She is still very manageable, but inside she gets pretty stressed. She has separation anxiety when she is the only horse left home. She's not destructive and isn't at a risk to herself... she just runs and calls. She has an old injury that causes her to stock up on her hind legs if she's kept in a stall. I've vetted this thoroughly and it doesn't affect her soundness. She is on daily Equioxx for subtle age-related arthritis. Overall, Abra is a joy and has so much love and life left to give.
