Selling this sweet mare only because I can't give her the time that she needs in order to reach her full potential. I purchased Miss May as a 3-year-old with the hopes of making her my next hunter/jumper. Unfortunately, I have not been able to consistently give her the time that she needs in order to make significant progress for us to begin competing. I spent much time in the round pen doing ground work, which she does very well at and enjoys. I have worked her in the walk and trot and she is getting on the bit very nicely. I have only cantered her a few times. I have taken her out on the trail with other horses and she is done amazing. She is a sweet, gentle giant, very much, unlike other thoroughbreds I've worked with in the past. The two areas where she has struggled in the past has been when she leaves the herd to go out on her own and when she is in a new and unfamiliar area. Due to my own time constraints, I have not been able to get her off the farm as often as I would like, so therefore I do know that has probably created the issue. However, I do firmly believe with someone's consistency this will be something that she can easily overcome. I have two very loud boys who love to make a ruckus around her so loud noises, tarps whipping around, machinery on a farm, etc. does not bother her. We have cows on our property and she has been in a pen with them before and does great. I have not experienced her having any behavioral issues when she is in heat, she is currently in a pen with two geldings and we've had no issues. She is registered with the Jockey club, however, during a move we misplaced her paperwork and have been unable to find it. She does have a chip, so I was told by the Jockey club with a chip reader we could easily find her registration number and get paperwork sent our way. Please reach out with any questions you may have, if you would like photos, or if you would like to come and see her! 509-760-7943 call or text
